Irwindale, CA: On Saturday, March 21, 2020, at about 5:41 P.M., Irwindale police officers responded to the report of an unresponsive male in an open field on the south side of the Santa Fe Dam, near the 15100 Block of Arrow Highway in the city of Irwindale.
The Los Angeles County Fire Department also responded, along with Life Guards from the Los Angeles County Parks and Recreation Department and Deputies from the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Parks Bureau.
On arrival, fire department paramedics pronounced the victim, a male adult, deceased at the scene.
Detectives from the Irwindale Police Department and the Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department’s Homicide Bureau responded to the scene and conducted an investigation. The cause of death remains under investigation, however there were no signs of foul play.
The westbound lanes of Arrow Highway between Gayhurst Avenue and Elton Street were closed for approximately 5 hours during the investigation.
The identity of the deceased male is not being released, pending notification of the next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
