Irwindale, CA: On Saturday, December 19, 2020, at about 12:45 A.M., Irwindale police officers responded to a report of an injury traffic collision involving a motorcyclist near the intersection of Arrow Highway and Live Oak Avenue (East), in the city of Irwindale.
On arrival, our officers discovered a motorcyclist riding a 2015 Harley Davidson motorcycle traveling eastbound on Arrow Highway struck the center divider where the roadway curves to meet Live Oak Avenue. The rider was ejected from the motorcycle upon impact and died at the scene. There were no other parties or vehicles involved in the traffic collision.
Officers from the Baldwin Park, Azusa and Glendora Police Departments assisted the Irwindale Police Department with the street closures and the investigation. The intersection of Arrow Highway and Live Oak Avenue (East) was closed for approximately 6 hours during the traffic collision investigation.
The deceased party is an adult male. His identity is not being released at this time, pending notification of his next of kin by the Los Angeles County Coroner’s Office.
The cause of this traffic collision remains under investigation and it is not yet known if drugs or alcohol were factors in the collision.
