California Small Business Grant

California Small-Business COVID-19 Grant Program is Now Available- Deadline to Apply has been extended to Wednesday, January 13th.

Irwindale businesses and nonprofits are encouraged to apply for the $500 million Small Business COVID-19 Relief Grant program funded by the State of California. Grants range from $5,000 to $25,000 and are available for eligible small business owners and nonprofits impacted by COVID-19 and related health and safety restrictions. The State just extended the deadline to apply to 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13.

Program criteria and components include, but are not limited, to the following: 

  • Businesses and nonprofits must have operated in California as of June 1, 2019
  • Nonprofits must be 501 c3 or 501 c6 and meet additional criteria. 
  • Grant amounts will be based on revenue size.
  • Grants are not first-come, first serve and applications will be evaluated based on financial loss due to COVID-19 and additional criteria. 

Visit to review your eligibility, prepare your business documents and get ready to apply. Applications for Round 1 will opened on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, and will close at 11:59 p.m. on Wednesday, January 13. The application period for Round 2 will be announced in the near future.
