Chief Rob Castro joined LA County Sheriff Alex Villanueva and representatives from the Irwindale Police Department, the Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department, the Los Angeles Police Department and the California Highway Patrol at a press conference at the Irwindale Speedway recently to remind street takeover enthusiasts that law enforcement has zero tolerance for this misconduct on the streets of Los Angeles County.

Also present was Lili Trujillo Puckett, who is founder of Street Racing Kills, who spoke about a tragic incident that took her daughter’s life almost 10 years ago when a young man was street racing and crashed while giving her daughter a ride home.

During the press conference, Sheriff Villanueva discussed the importance of safe racing alternatives, including the Irwindale Speedway, which offers legal racing and burnout opportunities in a controlled and safe environment.
