Programs
The Irwindale Recreation Department offers various sports programs and activities for adults. These include the following:
- Crocheting Class
- Indoor Pickleball
- Drop In Pickleball
- Fitness Fun with Erica
- Walking Class
- Women and Weights
- Yoga in the AM
- Yoga at Noon
- Inclusive Zumba

This class will help you learn the basics of crocheting, pattern reading, stitching and tools. You will develop fine motor skills and hand eye coordination.
Open to those ages 18 and over.

Pickleball is a racket sport that combines elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis. Come learn to play this fun sport with us! All levels welcome, from beginners to advanced. This class requires a minimum of 6 students to be registered for this class to begin with a maximum of 16 players.
- Mondays & Wednesdays @ 8am (Instruction) 9am (Open Play) Must be registered.

This Fitness class will combine different types of exercise including cardio, strength training, and flexibility, which will improve overall health and make everyday activities easier.

Walking is the best exercise you can do and this walking class will help you do it! Walking increases cardiovascular fitness and reduces the risk of heart disease.

Women and Weights 2025
If you've never lifted weights before, consider taking this challenge. Participants will learn how a combination of resistance machines and free weights, such as dumbbells and barbells, will give you a comprehensive weight training workout.
