Students who attend Merwin Elementary, Manzanita Elementary, Las Palmas Middle School, or Northview High School are eligible to obtain a school bus pass through the Irwindale Recreation Department.Recreation
Students should be Irwindale residents, children of city employees, or "sponsored" by an Irwindale resident who possesses a valid Resident ID card. For more detailed information regarding school transportation, please visit the School Bus Transportation page. -

Anyone requesting a refund must fill out a Refund Request Form. Refunds may be subject to an administrative fee, take four to six weeks to process, and are subject to approval. For classes/programs (cost is greater than $10.00): a $3.00 Administrative Fee will be charged For rental cancellations: 10% of fee if cancelled 60+ days prior to rental 30% of fee if cancelled 6 - 59 days prior to rental 100% of fee if cancelled 0 - 5 days prior to rentalRecreation

All registration must be done in person at the Dan Diaz Recreation Center.Recreation
- For Resident only (which includes City of Irwindale employees) a resident ID card or employee ID card is required to register.
- Payment is required at time of registration.

Becoming a monthly member is easy; come and visit us at the Dan Diaz Recreation Center, complete a biographical form and release of liability waiver form, bring your valid California driver's license or ID and the $30 fee. Annual Memberships are also available for a $200.Recreation

Yes. The Irwindale Recreation Department welcomes anyone interested in volunteering for our special events.Recreation
Volunteer and Teen Volunteer (Volunteen) applications are available on the website and at the Dan Diaz Recreation Center. Volunteers must submit a form, be approved and must be cleared through LiveScan to be accepted. -
Irwindale Swimming pool opens for the summer in June and closes in August. Visit our Aquatics page for exact dates and hours of operation. For our Aquafitness and Lap Swimming classes, those programs begin in the Spring and conclude in early September. Visit our Aquatics page for flyers and more detailed information.Recreation

The Irwindale Recreation Department has several areas available for reservation and/or rent.
- Irwindale Park: Picnic Areas, Picnic Shelter, Alfred F. Herrera softball field, meeting room, banquet room, kitchen, and basketball court
- Jardin de Roca Park: Picnic areas

Recreation
Facility rentals are available on a first come, first serve basis for all Irwindale residents. Non-residents may request a rental no more than 30 days prior to their requested date.
All rentals must be handled in person at the Dan Diaz Recreation Center during regular business hours, but please note all transactions must be completed 30 minutes prior to closing. Rentals must be made at least one week prior to rental date and if renting within two weeks of requested date, must be paid in cash.
