Memorial Garden 2

The City of Irwindale is building a memorial garden in the heart of Irwindale Park. We invite all those interested to purchase a memorial paver in honor of someone they have loved and lost who was a resident or employee of the City of Irwindale.  Applications will be accepted annually from March 1st to March 30th and September 1st to September 31st

Council Chamber Plaque

The City of Irwindale recently renovated its Council Chambers.  Residents now have the opportunity to purchase a dedication plaque to honor or commemorate a loved one. Personalized plaques will be predominantly displayed on an arm chair in the audience seating area.

Veterans Day Ceremony

The City of Irwindale has always been proud to support the brave men and women who have served their country as members of the United States Armed Forces. The City’s Veterans Memorial honors local veterans who have made sacrifices to preserve our freedom as members of the Armed Forces. Please join us as we recognize those Veterans whose names proudly appear on the City of Irwindale’s Veterans Monument at our annual Veterans Ceremony. This year’s ceremony will take place on Wednesday, November 11, beginning at 11 a.m. at the Veterans Memorial located at 5050 N Irwindale Avenue, Irwindale, CA 91706. Veterans who would like to speak at this ceremony or participate in the roll call, please email Aundrea Alvarado or call (626) 430-2231.

Irwindale Veterans

Any American Veteran, living or deceased, who served in the U.S. Armed Forces, received an honorable discharge, and lived in Irwindale at some point during his or her lifetime, or made a significant contribution to the Irwindale community (such as an employee or volunteer), as determined by the City Council, is eligible to have his or her name on the Irwindale Veterans Monument. Applications(PDF) are accepted on a continuous basis. Only those applications received by June 30 of the application year and confirmed with a copy of a DD214 or other legal documentation verifying branch, rank and honorable discharge will be inscribed and honored at the following Annual Veterans' Day Ceremony

Active Duty Members

We would like to acknowledge the sacrifice of those who are currently serving during our annual Veterans Day Ceremony. If you or someone in your immediate family is currently serving in ACTIVE DUTY and are a resident of the City of Irwindale, please complete the Active Duty Application. Active Duty Applications (PDF) received by November 1 of the application year will be recognized during the Annual Veterans Day Ceremony.

Facility and Street Naming Policy

The City of Irwindale has established uniformed procedures for the naming or renaming of City facilitates and streets in a manner that is compatible with community interest to enhance the values and heritage of the City of Irwindale. Applications (PDF) are accepted on a continuous basis.
